FACILITATING

"Facilitate means “to make easy.” As a facilitator, your job is to make the meeting easier for the participants. Your main task is to help the team or group increase its effectiveness by improving its processes. A facilitator manages the method of the meeting, rather than the content. Facilitators are concerned with how decisions are made instead of what decisions are reached."

     The Facilitator Tool Kit

The overall goal of the Collaborative Work Group initiative is to build teams of diverse community and academic perspectives to develop and implement integrated approaches to address breast and lung cancer disparities in Wisconsin that learn together, create collectively, and overcome issues of trust and power imbalances.  Well planned and intentional facilitation is the key to reaching our overall goal.

The follow are resources to support the planning and implementation of the Collaborative Workgroups.
