The success of Evaluation Plus is measured in the accomplishments of our clients on the issues we both care about. Our choice of projects is always values-driven, as we look for partners doing important work we believe in that can be scaled for even greater impact. Such is the case with CCSN, which is committed to addressing breast and lung cancer disparities in our home state of Wisconsin. Our partnership helps this complex initiative learn while it employs systems change to address disparities.
CCSN is using developmental evaluation (DE) because it has the power to promote and support innovation while at the same honoring the expertise and contributions of different strategic partners from multiple disciplines and perspectives. When we collect and analyze real-time data, that leads to informed decision-making, which in turn informs the design, development and implementation process. And when it gets done in an intentional way and shared out, others may use it in the future. DE also helps us understand what is being learned in real-time and apply that learning so we can grow and progress more effectively. It allows us to shift and adjust strategies so we stay adaptable and nimble as we continue our work.

In our collaboration with CCSN, and its network of partners, we leverage our systems thinking and human-centered tools and approaches along with developmental evaluation rigor to:
- Assess and strengthen the strategy of the Integration Hub and its network capacities. Our goal is to design effective and sustainable solutions for cancer disparities.
- Work with the project to gather data and learn about models and frameworks. We then apply that information to new transdisciplinary approaches to address cancer disparities in local communities.
- Document successes and look for more ways to improve.
- Capture results to tell the CCSN story.
