Understanding Prostate Cancer Disparities
One of CCSN's efforts, the Understanding Prostate Cancer Disparities initiative (UPCD) brings together multiple perspectives through our transdisciplinary approach to understand prostate cancer and generate research questions for future projects.
Overview of Initiative:
We are creating a team of individuals from community and research disciplines to learn from each other about the reasons for and the potential solutions to prostate cancer disparities in Black men in Milwaukee through CCSN's transdisciplinary approach.
UPCD seeks to share and understand team members expertise, experience, and connections to create a comprehensive understanding of prostate cancer disparities in Black men in Milwaukee. This will help to inform and create an action plan to address prostate cancer’s unequal burden.
