February 7th 2010
Each year scouting celebrates its founding on February 8th, 1910. Scout Sunday is always the Sunday preceding February 8th unless the 8th falls on a Sunday in which case that day is Scout Sunday.
Scout Sunday give scouts an opportunity to live out their "Duty to God" pledged each week in a special way in their houses of worship.
This is an opportunity for parishes to celebrate the lives of their Scouting families.

All Scouts in the parish should be present in their uniform to be recognized. Those who earned religious emblems and patches in the past year can receive special recognition. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the adult leaders and their commitment.
